CoverCraft makes it easy to generate clean, professional PDF documents from plain text, without unnecessary friction.
CoverCraft was created with a simple goal in mind: to make it easy to generate clean, professional PDF documents from plain text.
My name is Lucian, and I am the sole developer behind CoverCraft. As a software engineer, I often found existing text-to-PDF and cover letter tools to be overly complicated, restrictive, or monetized in ways that got in the way of the actual task. Many required accounts, subscriptions, or payments just to generate a basic document. Others added watermarks or produced PDFs that were visually cluttered or difficult for automated systems to parse.
CoverCraft was built as an alternative to that.
Built for clarity and compatibility
CoverCraft focuses on generating clean, well-structured PDFs with simple, professional layouts. These documents are designed to be easily parsed by HR recruitment systems, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and other automated tools, while still looking good to human readers.
The emphasis is on:
- Clear typography
- Simple, readable layouts
- No unnecessary visual noise
- Predictable structure that works well with automated parsers
Free, without hidden costs
CoverCraft is completely free to use:
- No sign-up required
- No subscriptions
- No payments
- No watermarks
You can generate PDFs instantly, without creating an account or sharing personal data. The service remains free as long as my (admittedly small) server can comfortably handle the demand.
A personal project
CoverCraft is a personal project, built and maintained independently. It exists because I wanted a tool that just works, something I would happily use myself and recommend to others.
If you find CoverCraft useful, I’m glad it helps. If you have feedback or suggestions, they are always welcome. The project continues to evolve based on real use and real needs.
